I've finally dropped my first straight-up breaks mix, a snazzy CD called "Break It Down" that's a trip through some of the best snippets of my record collection. I didn't want this to just be me backspinning doubles of various breaks, so I put it together in more compositional style, stacking loops and fluidly moving from break to break. funky shit my man...got my copy in from TTL last week...this is different from other break mixes which is why I dig it...not just the usual doubling of breaks and then an echo out to the next break...this shit is a fluid mix of all things crunchy!!!

And yeah, that whole "doubling up on breaks" thing is exactly what I didn't want to do. I'm into breaks like that, but I wanted to present them in a different, more engaging way.
